About Me
I studied Bioinformatics and Genome Research at the University of Bielefeld and the Free University of Berlin, followed by a PhD at the Charité Berlin where I specialized in immunoinformatics. I've always leaned more towards the hands-on, practical parts of Bioinformatics, originally coding a lot in C++. Later on I transitioned more and more to Python, doing full-stack development work for the HLA Ligand Atlas and the CoGDat data portal DataMeta. I believe there is a long neglected need for solid infrastructures backing the demands of the scientific community, which eventually led me to GHGA!
