About Me

I am primarily a computational biologist by training but often pretend to be an open-source software contributor in my spare time. I completed a PhD in 2024 that established the first cross-species benchmarks of genomic AI models in plants. Evaluating these AI models required an immense and upfront effort to build out supporting infrastructure that often conflicted with time for scientific experiments. This motivated me to transition to building scientific infrastructure so that future scientists can spend less time setting up and more time answering their questions.

I am excited to join the GHGA team because they are doing exactly this kind of infrastructure work and I am looking forward to helping geneticists get easier access to the data they need for their research.
