GHGA Webinar: Beginner's Guide to DNA & Sequencing (virtual)
- 30 Jun 2022
- Nicole Schatlowski, Julia Philipp
If you ever wondered what genome sequencing is or how genomic data is generated, then this webinar is for you!
Divided into two parts, it will first explain what DNA and RNA is and explore the method of DNA/RNA sequencing. The second part will give an introduction to the bioinformatic workflows that ‘prepare’ the data for analysis, present examples of typical analysis protocols used in biomedical research and give a glimpse into how GHGA will be relevant/important in genomic research.
This event, especially the first part, aims to educate people interested (or working) in the space of biomedical research and genomic databases but don’t have a background in biology (e.g. data scientists, students, administrative personnel etc).
The seminar will be given by Nicholas Smith, one of our experts for bioinformatic workflows at GHGA.
The event is in English and will be held on 30 June 2022, 14:00 CEST (available afterwards on demand). Attendance is free, but we ask for registration here
