GHGA hosted a well-attended workshop at the GfH conference. The session brought together experts and interested participants for insightful discussions on the future of genomic data in research and healthcare.

The GHGA Retreat 2025 brought together over 60 members of the GHGA consortium for three days of strategic exchange, focused workshops, and collaborative planning.

GHGA members participated in key conferences, engaging with diverse communities on topics ranging from European genomic data infrastructure and secure processing environments to systems medicine and research data management.

Five NFDI consortia met in Heidelberg to explore synergies in biomedical data management, laying the groundwork for long-term cooperation to improve the management of complex biomedical data.

At the EOSC Symposium and the Nextflow Summit, GHGA members strengthened collaborations, shared expertise, and engaged with international experts on advancing FAIR principles and scalable bioinformatics solutions.

Celebrating the release of their latest brochure "In Focus: Genomic Data," the working group Gene Technology Report, in cooperation with GHGA, invited the public to an evening event discussing the significance of genomic data in modern medical research and diagnostics.

Participating actively in the Functional Epigenomics Conference in Saarbrücken, GHGA engaged closely with the epigenomics community for the first time.

GHGA joined the de.NBI/ELIXIR-Germany Spatial Hackathon ‘SpaceHack2.0’, advancing community-driven benchmarking.

In a two-day General Assembly, the achievements of the GDI's first year were discussed, and plans for the next year were outlined, with GHGA actively participating as Germany’s GDI node.

Early October, GHGA team members and PIs came together in Heidelberg for some valuable facetime, with two days filled with interesting talks and discussions. The focus of this year's meeting revolved around the Scientific Advisory Board.
