Mehr über mich
After studying Biology with a focus on Bioinformatics (B.Sc.) I continued my education with a degree in Bioinformatics (M.Sc.). Coming off the campus I started working with a strong focus on web development and databases . Then I switched to the bioinformatics diagnostics field (breast and ovarian cancer) where I have worked for many years. After that I continued my career in a research and ngs sequencing institute until today. My passion is producing efficient solutions through thorough understanding, constantly staying curious and learning how things work and why they work. Bioinformatics and web development are my main fields of interest but over the years all kinds of related fields have come into focus as well.
Inside GHGA I work as a Data Steward at the Cologne data hub. I focus on building solutions tailored to the customers' needs and helping them finding their way inside the infrastructure. I believe in making solutions as intuitive and convenient as possible in order to drive usage which in turn will lead to a broader base of available data. That data will ultimately turn research questions into knowledge to benefit everyone.
